Lanny Rogers, former owner of Gray Line of Houston, began First Class Tours in 1998 after discovering that retirement was not for him. During his ownership of Gray Line the management, sales and maintenance staff operated 110 motor coaches in the Houston Market providing quality transportation in all markets to all destinations. First Class had its beginning with one motor coach primarily providing transportation to and from the Louisiana casinos. At present First Class operates a fleet of over 20 motor coaches consisting most of which are less than 5 years old.

First Class emphasizes that our first priority is safety and on time departures and arrivals. We provide insurance double the standard required by the Department of Transportation. We have received the highest rating possible by both Texas Department of Transportation and US Department of Transportation. We are proud of the safety rating our employees have earned. Many First Class drivers have over twenty years of experience driving and have earned perfect safety records. All of our drivers are in 100% compliance with all Department of Transportation regulations. Our motor coach operators attend regular safety meeting where strict compliance to all rules is monitored and stressed.

First Class staff regularly conducts road surveillance to insure drivers are in compliance with all laws, rules and regulations. All of our equipment is equipped with two-way radios that have the capability to communicate motor coach to motor coach and motor coach to base within a 75-mile radius. All motor coaches are equipped with “GPS Equipment” which enables us to monitor the progress of trips and if necessary to locate any given motor coach. For entertainment or training, our motor coaches are equipped with DVD and CD equipment, XM radio and up to seven TV monitors. Seating capacity on our motor coaches varies from 48 seats to 69 seats.

First Class is now equipped to handle all motor coach transportation needs for all groups including churches, schools and businesses.

In January 2009, First Class Tours became home to a "Double Deck" motorcoach. This state of the art coach features all the luxeries and amenities you can imagine, plus two levels of seating for up to 69 passengers. Come and take a ride!
